About
My name is Michelle Cox and I’m a 41-year-old mother of three (daughter age 13, son age 10 and baby girl, age 8 months). Baby No. 3 was my 40th birthday present to myself and the impetus for me starting this blog. She’s also the reason I didn’t post for eight months. I was so busy enjoying her I neglected to write about it.
I’m a former print journalist turned freelance writer, and re-launching my freelance business so that I can stay home with my baby took some time, as well. I’m busier than I expected to be, but that’s a good thing for us freelancers. If you’re in the market for a writer, check out my web site at www.michellemcox.com.
I enjoy jogging and have run the Chicago Marathon twice (2005 and 2006). I returned to distance running shortly after Baby No. 3 arrived and ran the St. Louis half marathon in April 2008.
I’m a St. Louis native, although I have lived outside of the city and the state. A few of my passions are amateur photography, scrapbooking, and attending swim meets.

Hi!
I just bumped into your site while Googling Ultrasona. I noticed in your blog that you did a 3D/4D ultrasound with them. I’m a local mom, cord blood advocate, and also the administrator of Mind, Body & Baby (www.MindBodyBabyStL.com). We are having an open house at Ultrasona this Saturday, July 12th from 11-3 and they are giving FREE ultrasound peeks! I noticed in your description that you are expecting again…. so you should come out and get a free ultrasound. There will also be free massages and lots of prizes. You can find more information about the event on my site. I enjoyed reading your blog and hope to maybe meet you in person on Saturday.
