A racist bumper sticker?

I’ve got a McCain/Palin bumper sticker on my minivan.  I didn’t vote for Barack Obama.  And the vote I cast on Tuesday had nothing to do with race.  I don’t agree with Obama’s economic policies.  I don’t like his approach to improving our nation’s health care.  I don’t agree with his stand on abortion.  I voted for the McCain/Palin ticket because that ticket came closest to reflecting my belief system.  But in the aftermath of this election, there is an increasing suggestion that those who voted for “the other guy” are racist.  Were the Democrats who supported Obama over Clinton sexist?

When I was leaving my Bible study today, a friend commented that I should remove my bumper sticker or someone might accuse me of being a racist.  That’s frustrating.  I transport my kids in that minivan. I wouldn’t put any kind of inflamatory bumper sticker on my minivan for that very reason.  Who knew that my McCain/Palin bumper sticker could be considered racist?
