There's a club? Really? Sometimes I feel so alone. :)

I also hope to be less "in this baby's face" and more relaxed, less controlling than I was with the first two. I had also hoped to enjoy the pregnancy more, but I find that even though I'm older, wiser and supposedly more mature, I still don't like being pregnant. I'm counting down the days until I can start feeling like myself again (10 weeks, give or take a few days).

Thanks for your comments.

Oh gosh, I don't know from monitors. I had two people give me monitors and those are the ones I use. I am being a complete slacker-mama this time around when it comes to baby appliances. And I probably shouldn't be, becaude the right monitor/gate/pump/crib really does make life easier.

Anyway...just wanted to drop by and say Welcome to the Baby At 40 club. Mine was a surprise. A wonderful surprise, but there were a few weeks of "omg, what have we done" (besides "have sex and get pregnant" being the obvious answer, lol.) This little one is benefitting in ways he'll never know from not being the newer-mom starter model. For one thing, I just don't have time to be as in-his-face with my parenting - I have soccer practice to get to and homework to help with. At the same time, I find that I savor each moment all the more, knowing, truly, how quickly they do grow.

Congratulations!
